Teddington Cricket Club Receive £52k Community Fund Boost

Teddington Cricket Club will be able to offer improved and more accessible facilities to local people after receiving a £52,500 Community Fund grant.

The grant will help with upgrade work on the club’s pavilion allowing for simultaneous use by men’s, women’s, junior and disability teams.

It will also allow the club to offer two separate social spaces for the other users of the building – The Mall School, Teddington Athletic FC and Bushy Park Girls Cricket Club as well as visiting teams and guests.

Cllr Michael Wilson, Cabinet Member for Equality, Communities and the Voluntary Sector said:

“It is great to be able to support the growth of these facilities for all of the community through the Community Fund.

“The Cricket Club’s improved pavilion will provide a space for all age groups, and skill levels to use together and serve as a social hub for the other sports teams that use the facilities.”

Teddington Cricket Club is one of eight organisations to be awarded funding in the latest round of the Community Fund.
